The mission of the Southern Vermont Arts Center (SVAC) is to promote and nurture the arts. They do so by creating an inviting environment for their community to meet, enjoy, and participate in the arts. The SVAC community includes their children, young adults, their full time residents, their summer residents, their visitors, their donors, and their artists.
SVAC does so by offering quality programming which reaches the many segments of their community at Yester House, the Wilson Museum, Arkell Pavilion, and their workshops and summer camps. They do so by providing their artist members an opportunity to grow through instruction, a place to exhibit their work, and the opportunity to sell their work. They do so by being stewards of their assets – their endowment, their permanent collection, their campus, and their legacy.
